Most computers run on Intel.
The world’s largest chipset manufacturer struck gold with the Atom processor last year, and as of the last financial quarter, boasts close to 80 per cent market share.
First founded in 1968, Otellini joined Intel in 1974 where he has overseen strategies for the sale of Intel’s chipsets and processors. Things are looking good for Intel this year, with Otellini stating they’re through the worst of the recession, and are hopeful for 2010, thanks to the launch of Windows 7. Residing on the board of directors at Google, Otellini is obviously very passionate about computing and the internet.
