The poster boy for file sharing.

Created in 2003, Sunde’s BitTorrent tracker went up in flames this year after he and his three cohorts were charged with "assisting making available copyrighted content". Throughout the trial Sunde kept us entertained with his live-tweets from the courtroom, however having been found guilty, he’s staring at a year in jail and a hefty fine.

News reached us in August that Sunde has parted ways with his partners in crime Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm and Carl Lundström, and has “decided to not be the spokesperson for The Pirate Bay anymore”, as he wrote on his blog. Detailing that it takes up too much of his time, and that “a book is waiting to be finalized”, Sunde has shed a large part of his life yet still remains a key name in the topic of file sharing.
