Ex-BBC man turned Microsoftie.
Bing, MSN Video Player, Windows 7, Windows Mobile 6.5…just some of the major launches Highfield’s been toiling over at Microsoft this year.
Highfield joined Microsoft shortly before Christmas 2008, having spent just four months leading the Project Kangaroo venture which was to see BBC, ITV and Channel 4 share their programmes online. Over at Microsoft, Highfield is wary of Hulu launching here in the UK, commenting that MSN Video Player has a better chance at survival than Jason Kilar’s on-demand service.
