Without Berners-Lee, where'd we be?
Credited as the inventor of the World Wide Web, Berners-Lee has recently been working on the Power of Information project for the UK government, tasked with making data more accessible online.
Whilst he’s not on Twitter, Berners-Lee is considered by many to be the most important person involved with the internet since he wrote a proposal for it whilst serving at CERN in 1989.
Believing that internet users have the right to do what they want online, he’s said that ISPs “should neither control nor monitor customers’ browsing activities without their express consent”.
