US blogging machines.
Like a better-looking Sergey & Larry twinship, Lam and Chen rule Gizmodo (and the tech blogosphere) with a battery-powered sceptre. They’re familiar faces to our list of the most influential people in technology, and probably familiar to you, too – with 6 million monthly visitors, you would’ve stumbled across one of their irreverent news posts or reviews at some point.
“The Pre and Android phones were key tech launches, leapfrogging the iPhone and other smartphones in various ways in order to drag everyone forward” Chen told us, going on to say that “the explosion of Twitter” has been another phenomenal sight in the last 12 months.
Lam disagrees with Chen on the Pre, saying “it’s getting old quick without a crowded app store”, instead favouring his iPhone and anticipating the launches of Snow Leopard and Windows 7, as “nothing’s more important than those two”.
