Newsweek

Technology Columnist, Newsweek, Fake Steve Jobs creator

Journalist by day, Jobs by night.

By day, he’s a journalist working at Newsweek. But when the sun dips in the sky, he dons a black turtleneck and starts typing out hilarious parodies on his Fake Steve Jobs blog, the site that made Lyons famous when he was unmasked in 2007.

It’s that association with Steve Jobs that Lyons still plays on, reporting on all aspects of Apple at Newsweek. Speaking to T3, he told us “my iPhone has changed my life – mostly for the better. The 3GS is far from perfect, but I carry it everywhere and really depend on it. I keep thinking that someone must be working on an iPhone killer but so far nothing has come out that makes me want to switch”.

And for the record, Lyons believes his doppelganger Steve Jobs is working on a tablet. “I think it will change computing as much as the iPod and iPhone have done. And yes, I think it exists”.
